Venture Mentoring on legal issues
The VentureConnect Foundation is organizing the seventh session in the VentureMentoring program. Every month, a VentureConnect mentor is meeting with entrepreneurs, to discuss problems and solutions encountered in the business area.
Entrepreneurs who are interested in how to structure the documents related to an investment, are invited to participate at the seventh edition of Venture Mentoring. On 31st of October 2012, starting at 15:00, Dan Visoiu, Partner in the Biris Goran law firm will approach these kind of topics whose good management has become important in a highly competitive online investment.
About Dan Visoiu
Daniel is licensed attorney in the bar of Florida and Bucharest is one of the founding partners of Biris Goran, and heads the firm’s corporate/M&A practice group. Previously, between 1997 – 2004, he worked for a leading French international law firm (Moquet Borde & Associés, currently known as the U.S.-based Paul Hastings) where he was responsible for projects in the Central and East European region, including Romania. Between 2004 – 2006, Daniel was also a founding member of one of Romania’s most well-known boutique investment banks, BAC Investement.
Dan has represented and advised a number of well-known multinational corporations, investment funds and leading Romanian entrepreneurs, specializing in private equity/venture capital and foreign direct investments, M&A transactions and commercial/corporate law matters (with a particular focus on legal due diligence procedures), and capital markets and has provided legal services relating to investment projects in a wide variety of sectors. He has also authored and/or co-authored over 50 articles on various legal topics for such publications as The International Lawyer, Financial Times East European Business Law, World Securities Law Report, International Business Lawyer (International Bar Association) and Tax Planning International: European Union Focus.
