Venture Mentoring on 12 September
The Venture Connect Foundation restarts the monthly Venture Mentoring sessions. Each month, Venture Connect mentors will meet with entrepreneurs seeking answers and solutions to the business problems they face. Dragos Roua, online entrepreneur and member of the VentureConnect Board will attend the first meeting of the Venture Mentoring meetings this autumn, scheduled for Wednesday, September 12, starting 3.00 p.m..
In March 2012, the Venture Connect Foundation launched the Venture Mentoring program from the desire to interact throughout the entire year with Romanian entrepreneurial community and support its growth and further development. Venture Mentoring consists of a series of regular meetings with VentureConnect Board members and other experienced guests in order to find dedicated answers to business inquiries emphasised by participants.
On 12th of September, Dragos Roua, online entrepreneur and VentureConnect board member will hold the first session this autumn. In the late 90′s Dragos launched his own online publishing company, also enhancing the appetite for entrepreneurship to those around him. Ten years later, Dragos made a successful exit and decided to try entrepreneurship on other continents. Currently, he owns a company in New Zealand and when he does not write code for one of the projects he is involved in, Dragos holds mentoring sessions on entrepreneurship, also writing on his personal blog www.dragosroua.com on personal development and dedication. Until present, Dragos wrote and published six books on personal development, two of them recently being translated into Korean.
The meeting on 12th of September aims to bring up topics of interest to startups, including: business structure, ownership, teamwork and employee accountability, talent acquisition, team management and employee motivation, partnerships and collaborations, attitude in business, organisation abilities and task assignment in small teams.
“VentureConnect is one of the projects that I’ve participated in with great confidence from the very start, mainly focusing on its mission to increase and motivate the Romanian business environment. Through Venture Mentoring our goal is to support the entrepreneurial community in Romania and to increase the number of companies that come to have a broad national and international exposure. To assist participants in finding their mission, values and business skills, this Venture Mentoring session will be dedicated to business and personal development”, says Dragos Roua.
This spring, more than 40 companies attended Venture Mentoring meetings held by Radu Georgescu (GECAD Group Chairman), Ana Maria Andronic (Senior Associate of the law firm Biriş Goran) and Marius Ghenea (President of FIT Distribution and business angel). This autumn, the Venture Mentoring program will propose for debate a range of topics from various areas such as marketing & communication, sales and legal issues.
