Never thought I would say it, but sometimes people go the long way to grab attention. Or how else would you define such an approach, on both the VC and entrepreneur side? On the same path of thought, when times change, people change too.
These clips are from late 2011, but I guess the startup scene has not changed that much: entrepreneurs still doing their best to reach VCs and VCs still doing their best at playing hard to get. Of course, there are a million online platforms and dedicated events where entrepreneurs and investors alike can meet and intermingle, but there is definitely an improvement in the networking zone once a startup puts its rapping to work.
Without further ado, we give you Undrip – a platform that says it can make your social life better through an innovative way of reducing posting pollution. Although I do not really get it – as it does not really say what the app actually does – we have to give them 10 plus for the rapping sequence. It’s all, of course, getting people to notice you in an overcrowded environment, which the guys at Underdrip have mastered completely.
And since the VCs could not go without some rapping noise of their own, get lost in the music rhythm of the other side.
What can we learn from all this? We can be as innovative as we imagine and achieve popular demand, if not in the IPO zone, at least on YouTube and in the startups circles. Enjoy!
