Training our start-ups for VentureConnect
By Alexandra Dumitru on November 14, 2012
Coming close to the actual pitching of the event — 10-12 pre-selected startups will present their business in front of over 100 guests, business angels, venture funds, accelerators, incubators and entrepreneurs. You can view some of the pitching startups for VentureConnect on our website – we are very proud of their businesses!
In time, VentureConnect has become an entire support platform for entrepreneurs in creating their pitching discourse and maintaing the entire audience connected. Which, in many cases, can be extremely difficult. For the previous sessions, we had the pleasure of having Lucian Mindruta, Marketing Manager Mediafax Group, as lead mentor! And to continue this amazing work of mentoring and improving entrepreneur’s pitching abilities, we are very proud to have MTW Romania leading our soft skills training and Dragos Roua delivering the pitching mentoring session.
The first training is planned for 21st of November, together with Viorel Apetrei, MTW Romania. Viorel understands start-ups as he himself is an entrepreneur. He is trainer, MBA graduate, with over 15 years experience, in the national and international market. He was involved in creating and delivering over 200 training sessions, workshops and keynotes for corporate clients such as Microsoft, Oracle, Symatec, eMAG, Citi or Deloitte. Also, Viorel has a genuine understanding of start-up worries since he has been widely involved in training the Imagine Cup Romanian representatives. What is also extremely motivating is that Viorel mentored business men, entrepreneurs and companies from over 16 countries, which makes him quite international
The full day training day will focus on direct interactions and live video exercises which will motivate our pitching entrepreneurs even more! The training will try to assist entrepreneurs in creating a complete and structured discourse, manage to keep the attention of the entire room at all times and learn body-language elements which can improve their discourse delivery. Here you can find the proposed agenda for the meeting – Agenda Public Speaking – Venture Connect.ppt
In the second training day — 23rd November — Dragos Roua (online entrepreneur and VentureConnect Board member) will focus on the structure of the pitch, information and key elements which start-ups should focus on while delivering their presentation.
Very excited about the steps to come and looking forward to meeting our pitching startups. If you have not applied, you still have time until Friday (16th November). If you wish to meet some of the investors present for this session of VentureConnect, check out the website.
See you on 27th November!
